Distinguish slippage from a broken thread

Does tensile strength prove seam strength?
No. The sewn assembly introduces thread, stitches, seam geometry and possible yarn movement. Choose testing that addresses the seam concern directly.
Can one direction represent both fabric directions?
Do not assume it can. Define the directions and report them according to the agreed method and garment use.
Can stronger thread solve every seam failure?
