Beverage Machinery RFQ
How to Prepare an RFQ for a Bottled Water Filling Line
A practical guide to the information suppliers need before quoting a bottled water filling line.
A good RFQ is not only a request for price. It is a structured way to help suppliers understand the project before they quote. For a bottled water filling line, the RFQ should reduce guessing around capacity, bottle format, water treatment, packaging, installation, and after-sales support.
Core production details
- Bottle volume, bottle shape, cap type, and label type.
- Target capacity, such as bottles per hour or daily production target.
- Water source, water treatment requirement, and finished water standard.
- Packaging format, such as shrink pack, carton, pallet, or mixed formats.
Line scope
Ask suppliers to separate the quote into water treatment, bottle blowing, air conveyor, rinsing filling capping, labeling, date coding, packing, conveyors, installation, spare parts, and optional equipment. This makes quotation comparison clearer.
Questions to include
- What equipment is included and excluded?
- What bottle drawings or samples are needed before final design?
- What installation, commissioning, and operator training are included?
- What spare parts are recommended for the first year?
- What production videos, layout drawings, and reference photos can be provided?
